CANDLE CARE
How to get the most out of your candle
-
It's a candle. Do not attempt to eat it. Fire. Hot. Danger. Use common sense please.
-
Keep lit candles in view and never leave a lit candle unattended.
-
Keep candles (lit or unlit) away from children and pets.
-
Keep lit candles away from open drafts and all flammable materials.
-
Keep your candle clean and free of dust and foreign materials.
-
To avoid tunneling, ensure the melted wax reaches the outer edges of the candle.
-
Trim the wick to 1/4" before lighting.
-
Only burn on level, heat resistant surfaces.
-
If the flame is flickering repeatedly, making a sizzle or popping sound, extinguish the flame, trim the wick and then relight.
-
Lit candles are very hot so never touch the candle tin or jar with your bare hands.
-
Do not burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time.
-
Why only 4 hours you ask? If you burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time, carbon will collect on the wick, and your wick will begin to "mushroom." This can cause the wick to become unstable, the flame to get too large, your candle to smoke, and soot to be released into the air and around your candle container. Your welcome.
